Amends the definition of "employee" under Hawaii's harm-to-students registry to include contractors and volunteers only if their roles involve interaction with or close proximity to students.

Exempts K-12 students who are employed by an educational institution from being subject to the harm-to-students registry requirements.

Updates statutory cross-references across multiple sections of Hawaii Revised Statutes (302C-2, 302D-33.5, and 302L-11) to reflect the renumbered definitions subsection.

The harm-to-students registry is a database tracking employees found to have inflicted harm on students, including sexual acts, abuse, violence, or inappropriate contact, established under Act 156, Session Laws of Hawaii 2024.
