Prohibits erecting, placing, constructing, or maintaining tents, makeshift shelters, or other temporary structures used for habitation within 100 feet of a state highway right-of-way under the Department of Transportation's jurisdiction.

Violators are subject to immediate removal and fines up to $200, and may also face separate trespassing charges under Chapter 708.

Law enforcement personnel must provide information about temporary housing and homelessness assistance programs to individuals displaced from encampments.

Personal belongings of displaced individuals must be taken into custody by law enforcement and stored at police stations or designated locations for return upon release.
