Establishes a nine-member advisory commission within the Department of Accounting and General Services to propose names or name changes for state buildings, parks, facilities, and events

Commission membership includes three appointees from House speaker nominees, three from Senate president nominees, one ex officio member from the State Historic Preservation Division, one from Hawaiinuiakea School of Hawaiian Knowledge, and one public representative

All commission members serve four-year terms, with the governor appointing the chairperson; members serve without compensation but receive reimbursement for travel and necessary expenses

Commission must submit naming proposals to the governor for consideration and adopt rules pursuant to Chapter 91 to carry out its duties

Department of Accounting and General Services provides staff support and may include a cultural advisor to assist the commission
