Extends workers' compensation coverage to newly graduated high school students participating in Department of Education-sponsored work-based learning programs during the summer following graduation

Coverage for recent graduates would end no later than July 31 of their graduation year

Amends Section 302A-430, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to include "new high school graduates" alongside current students for workers' compensation eligibility

Addresses a gap where students lose coverage upon graduation even when continuing in DOE-sponsored internships or work-based learning experiences

Effective date of July 1, 2050
