Establishes a recognition program to incentivize public schools to submit plans for reaching the local farm-to-school meal goal of 30% locally sourced food by 2030, as set by Act 175 (2021)

Requires all Department of Education high schools to provide a plant-based meal option as part of the school meals program

Allows high schools to designate one day per week to exclusively offer plant-based meal options

Requires individual high schools to develop guidelines for nutrition, menu planning, and staffing with department approval to implement the plant-based meal requirements

Takes effect upon approval
