Urges the Division of State Parks within the Department of Land and Natural Resources to convene a task force focused on improving state parks and developing branding and narratives for parks, landmarks, and significant places statewide.

Task force membership would include the Division of State Parks Administrator as chair, representatives from the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, Hawaii Tourism Authority, University of Hawaii Community Design Center, a cultural advisory expert, and legislative committee chairs.

Task force would examine national best practices for park infrastructure, visitor experience, and successful branding strategies used by national parks and other agencies to develop a framework for Hawaii.

Any branding, art, and narratives developed must appropriately reflect the cultural heritage, historical significance, environmental character, and community identity of the places represented.

Task force required to submit findings and recommendations, including proposed legislation, to the Legislature no later than twenty days prior to the Regular Session of 2027.
