Requests the City and County of Honolulu to consider renaming the Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment Plant to a non-Hawaiian name to preserve the cultural dignity of the Native Hawaiian place name "Honouliuli" (meaning "dark bay" or "deep bay")

Addresses community concerns that associating a culturally significant Hawaiian name with sewage treatment infrastructure may diminish the name's dignity and contribute to stigma or teasing directed at area residents

Encourages consultation with community stakeholders, including Native Hawaiian organizations and local residents, during any renaming process

Requires a progress report on the renaming effort, including proposed new names and community feedback, to be submitted to the Legislature within one year of the resolution's adoption

Directs certified copies to be transmitted to the Mayor of Honolulu, the Director of the Department of Environmental Services, and Honolulu City Council members
