Requests the Legislative Reference Bureau to study the cost and scope of conducting a comprehensive statewide survey of Māhū, LGBTQIA+, and Queer and Trans Pacific Islander (QTPI+) communities in Hawaii.

The study must include estimated costs for designing, administering, and analyzing the survey using culturally responsive methods that respect Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander traditions.

Survey topics would cover health care access, mental health outcomes, economic stability, educational attainment, housing security, experiences of discrimination, and specific needs of elderly community members.

The study must address data privacy protections, opportunities for collaboration with community organizations and academic institutions, and identify potential state, federal, and private funding sources.

The Legislative Reference Bureau must submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the Regular Session of 2027.
