Urges the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to submit an annual Hawaii Genuine Progress Indicator (HI GPI) report to the Legislature no later than 30 days before each regular session, starting with the 2027 session.

The HI GPI measures economic, social, and environmental indicators to assess welfare impacts beyond traditional metrics like Gross Domestic Product.

Required report contents include an executive summary, indicator results and trends across economic, social, and environmental categories, methodology overview, policy implications section, and data appendix with detailed figures.

The department is urged to make the annual report publicly available on its website and transmit copies to relevant House and Senate committee chairpersons with jurisdiction over economic development, budget, and environment.
