Requests the State Fire Marshal to appoint a hydrogen fire safety expert to provide expertise on hydrogen fuel production, storage, and distribution facilities and ensure compliance with fire safety standards.

Requires the hydrogen fire safety expert to hold safety trainings at least twice per year.

Directs the State Fire Marshal to provide ongoing training to county fire departments and building inspectors on hydrogen-related safety protocols for statewide enforcement.

Notes Hawaii abolished its State Fire Marshal position in 1979 and was the only state without one until the Office of the State Fire Marshal was established through Act 209 (2024) and Act 302 (2025) following the 2023 Maui wildfires.
