Requests the Department of Education to merge McKinley Community School for Adults and Waipahu Community School for Adults into a single statewide program called the Hawaii State Community School for Adults.

Target effective date for the unified program is July 1, 2026.

Department of Education is urged to consult with collective bargaining unit representatives regarding personnel impacts and allow affected employees to provide feedback.

Implementation should be contingent upon completing the consultation process and developing a comprehensive transition plan to minimize disruption to students, faculty, and staff.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, and administrators of both adult community schools.
