Requests the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) to expand financial literacy, credit readiness, and homeownership preparedness programs for Native Hawaiian beneficiaries

DHHL is asked to collaborate with financial education providers, credit counseling organizations, mortgage lenders, and community partners to expand pre-award financial readiness education and post-award counseling

The resolution calls for development of culturally responsive financial education materials and identification of federal or private grant funding opportunities

DHHL must submit a report to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2027 Regular Session detailing program improvements, number of beneficiaries served, and measurable outcomes related to lease retention and credit improvement

A certified copy of the resolution will be transmitted to the Chairperson of the Hawaiian Homes Commission
