Requests the City and County of Honolulu to consider renaming the Honouliuli Wastewater Treatment Plant to a non-Hawaiian name to protect the cultural dignity of the traditional Native Hawaiian place name.

"Honouliuli" translates to "dark bay" or "deep bay" and is a culturally significant name in the ʻEwa District of Oʻahu that some community members feel should not be associated with sewage treatment infrastructure.

Encourages consultation with Native Hawaiian organizations, local residents, and other community stakeholders during any renaming process.

Requires a progress report to the Legislature within one year of adoption, including proposed new names and community feedback.

Directs certified copies to the Mayor of Honolulu, the Director of Environmental Services, and the Honolulu City Council.
