Requests the Department of Education to implement the National Education Association Micro-Credential Pilot Program, developed collaboratively with the DOE's Office of Curriculum and Instructional Design and the Hawaii State Teachers Association.

Micro-credential program would be free for NEA or HSTA members and cost $75 for non-members, providing competency-based professional learning for licensed teachers in public and charter schools statewide.

Hawaii State Teachers Association would assist with outreach, participation tracking, and verification of coursework, professional development credits, and grading.

DOE is requested to post the pilot program on its professional development website and allow participating teachers to receive applicable professional development credit upon completion.

DOE must submit a report to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2027 Regular Session on participation rates, educator feedback, outcomes, and recommendations for expanding the program.
