Maui County adopted a similar ban in 2022, and Kauai County Council recently passed an ordinance unanimously banning polystyrene foam bodyboards

Certified copies of the resolution would be transmitted to the Council Chairpersons and Mayors of Hawaii County and the City and County of Honolulu
