Two human trafficking prosecution units are established in the Department of Justice, with one serving the western half of Iowa and one serving the eastern half, divided by Interstate 35

Multidisciplinary teams will identify, investigate, and prosecute human trafficking cases and provide victim support, including representatives from law enforcement, health care, victim services, community organizations, and survivor advocacy groups

A $5 fee is imposed on wire transmissions of $500 or less, plus an additional 2% fee on any amount exceeding $500, collected by money transmission licensees

Fees must be remitted quarterly to the Department of Revenue by the 15th day of the month following each calendar quarter, with proceeds transferred to the Office to Combat Human Trafficking

Customers who file an individual income tax return with a valid Social Security number or taxpayer identification number are entitled to a tax credit equal to the wire transmission fees paid during the tax year
