Amends Iowa Code Section 237A.12 to allow individuals as young as 15 years old to provide unsupervised child care at licensed facilities, lowering the current requirement of 18 years old

Requires 15-17 year old providers to complete department-approved training in safe sleep practices, first aid, and mandatory child abuse reporting

Mandates that 15-17 year old providers have at least 10 hours of documented experience providing supervised child care at a child care facility before working unsupervised

Applies to child care centers, preschools, and registered child development homes

Maintains preschool staff-to-children ratios based on the age of the majority of children in a class rather than the youngest child served
