Expands eligibility for name redaction from public county assessor and recorder electronic documents to include U.S. senators, representatives to Congress, statewide elected officials, and members of the general assembly.

Current law already allows peace officers, civilian law enforcement employees, state/federal judicial officers, and state/federal prosecutors to request redaction of their names from publicly accessible electronic documents.

County assessors, their staff, county recorders, and their staff must redact the requestor's name from electronic documents displayed on internet sites upon receiving a valid request.

Requires the Secretary of State to submit recommendations to the general assembly by November 1, 2026, on protecting personal residence information of election candidates while still verifying residency requirements.

Strikes an existing subparagraph (3) from Iowa Code Section 331.604, subsection 3, paragraph g.
