Requires public corporations to send written notification of final acceptance of a public improvement project within 14 calendar days to the principal contractor, bond surety, and any claimants who have filed claims for labor or materials.

Amends Iowa Code Section 573.16 governing public improvement contracts and the adjudication of claims against project funds or performance bonds.

Existing law allows parties to bring equity actions to adjudicate fund rights or enforce bond liability between 30 and 60 days after project completion and final acceptance.

Public corporations are explicitly shielded from liability for any claims or damages arising from failure to comply with the new notification requirement.
