Increases the penalty for sexual misconduct with offenders and juveniles from an aggravated misdemeanor to a class "D" felony

Applies to peace officers, employees, contractors, vendors, volunteers, or agents of the Department of Corrections, judicial district departments of correctional services, juvenile placement facilities, or county jails who engage in sex acts with individuals in their custody

Covers sex acts with persons committed to state or judicial district correctional custody, juveniles placed at juvenile facilities, or prisoners incarcerated in county jails

Class "D" felony is punishable by up to 5 years confinement and a fine between $1,025 and $10,245
