Amends Iowa Code Section 321J.2 to remove the requirement that substance use disorder evaluations for OWI (operating while intoxicated) convictions must be completed prior to sentencing

Persons convicted of OWI must still undergo a substance use disorder evaluation at their own expense, but the timing is no longer restricted to the pre-sentencing period

Courts retain authority to order convicted individuals to follow the treatment recommendations from the substance use disorder evaluation under Section 321J.3
