Amends Iowa Code Section 216C.11 to simplify the offense of intentionally misrepresenting an animal as a service animal or service-animal-in-training

Removes the requirement that a person must have received a prior written or verbal warning about the illegality of misrepresentation before being charged with the offense

Removes the requirement that prosecutors prove the person knew the animal was not actually a service animal or service-animal-in-training

Retains only one element for the offense: intentionally misrepresenting an animal to obtain rights or privileges under state or federal law

Violation remains a simple misdemeanor, punishable by up to 30 days confinement and a fine between $105 and $855
