Amends Iowa Code section 614.1(9)(a) governing the six-year statute of repose for medical malpractice claims against physicians, surgeons, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, chiropractors, and hospitals

Adds a new exception to the six-year statute of repose when a licensed healthcare provider or their staff concealed from the patient the act, omission, or occurrence that caused the injury or death

Maintains the existing exception allowing claims beyond six years when a foreign object was unintentionally left in the patient's body

Preserves the two-year statute of limitations requiring claims be filed within two years of when the claimant knew or should have known of the injury
