Cities that provide fire protection or emergency medical services to other cities or townships under contract or Chapter 28E agreements must establish a dedicated fire protection and emergency medical services fund

All moneys received from townships and other cities for fire protection and emergency medical services must be credited in full to this dedicated fund

Fund moneys can only be used for costs of providing fire protection and emergency medical services to the contracting cities or township areas outside the providing city's corporate limits

Balances remaining in the fire protection and emergency medical services fund at the end of a fiscal year carry over for use in future fiscal years
