Eligible applicants include school districts, public hospitals, public housing buildings, and political subdivisions with buildings of at least 20,000 square feet requiring mechanical insulation upgrades

Approved applicants receive a free qualified audit from a certified contractor to identify missing, damaged, or improperly installed mechanical insulation, along with installation cost estimates and projected energy savings

Grants cover 100% of qualified mechanical insulation expenditures, including materials, facings, accessory products, and all associated labor costs for preparation, assembly, and installation

Qualified contractors must have entered into an apprenticeship agreement and meet ASHRAE energy standards for non-residential buildings
