Amends Iowa Code Section 708.6 to modify the crime of intimidation with a dangerous weapon by adding that shooting, throwing, launching, or discharging a weapon directly "at another person" constitutes a violation.

Removes language that previously covered discharging a weapon "within an assembly of people" that places people in reasonable apprehension of serious injury.

Class "C" felony applies when the act is committed with intent to injure or provoke fear or anger, punishable by up to 10 years confinement and fines between $1,370 and $13,660.

Class "D" felony applies when the act is committed without the specific intent requirement, punishable by up to 5 years confinement and fines between $1,025 and $10,245.
