Expands the definition of "interview" in child abuse investigations to include interviews conducted at accredited child protection centers or child advocacy centers, authorized by child protection workers or peace officers.

Authorizes peace officers to visit a child's home for interviews or observations with parental or guardian consent when a criminal act harming a child is alleged.

Requires parental or guardian consent for home visits, child interviews, or observations during child abuse assessments; if consent is refused, a court may authorize these actions upon a showing of probable cause.

Permits child protection workers and peace officers to record visible evidence of abuse during interviews.

Amends Iowa Code sections 232.68 and 232.71B relating to child abuse reporting, assessment, and rehabilitation procedures.
