Requires the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services to establish an indoor mold public information and awareness program to educate the public on health risks from mold exposure in damp or water-damaged buildings.

Beginning July 1, 2026, the department must review adverse health effects of indoor mold exposure in consultation with medical research institutions and submit findings and recommendations to the general assembly by June 30, 2027.

Mandates a five-year review cycle starting July 1, 2027 to assess new mold identification and remediation technologies and emerging scientific evidence on health risks, with reports submitted to the legislature.

Establishes a statewide standard of care requiring all mold remediation to follow the ANSI/IICRC S520 professional mold remediation standard or equivalent ANSI-accredited standard approved by the department.

Defines "indoor mold" as multicellular fungi including cladosporium, penicillium, aspergillus, stachybotrys chartarum, and other species found in damp or water-damaged indoor environments and building materials.
