Establishes a sexual assault forensic examination center grant program within the Iowa Department of Justice, requiring the attorney general to contract with an eligible nonprofit organization to operate and maintain these centers statewide

Nonprofit organizations must be incorporated in Iowa, employ or retain sexual assault nurse examiners, and operate treatment facilities primarily dedicated to serving sexual assault survivors with diverse services including medical forensic care

Contracting organizations must provide services to adults, children, persons with disabilities, rural Iowans, and underserved populations, as well as facilitate trainings for medical practitioners, law enforcement, prosecutors, and the public

Organizations must use a cooperative team approach emphasizing survivors' best interests and consult with professionals across disciplines including physicians, mental health professionals, social workers, and child protection workers for serious cases involving intimate partner violence, human trafficking, or drug-facilitated assault

Contracting nonprofit organizations are not considered state agencies and may seek additional funding from other sources; they must submit annual reports to the attorney general describing services and trainings provided
