Cities are prohibited from adopting or enforcing ordinances that restrict property owners in residential zones (with speed limits of 25 mph or less) from growing purposely planted vegetation up to 42 inches in height

For property portions abutting the curb line that may obstruct a motorist's view, the maximum allowed vegetation height is reduced to 34 inches

Amends Iowa Code Section 364.3 by adding a new subsection limiting city authority over residential landscaping choices

The restriction applies to any city ordinance, motion, resolution, or amendment targeting vegetation not otherwise prohibited by law
