Mandates annual preventative maintenance be offered on complex rehabilitation technology wheelchairs beginning July 1, 2026, performed by qualified technicians employed by the supplier

Prohibits third-party payors from requiring prior authorization or documentation of continued medical necessity for wheelchair service, repairs, or preventative maintenance

Applies to individual and group health insurance plans, health maintenance organizations, public employee plans, and the Medicaid program including managed care organizations

Establishes a task force with representatives from the Division of Insurance, Department of Health and Human Services, suppliers, patients, and payors to annually determine reimbursement rates for service, repairs, and preventative maintenance
