Prohibits landlords from discriminating against tenants based on their source of income, including housing choice vouchers (Section 8), public assistance, veterans' benefits, Social Security, supplemental security income, and other government or nonprofit assistance programs

Bars landlords from denying tenancy, terminating leases, charging different prices or fees, or making housing unavailable to otherwise eligible tenants solely because of how they pay rent

Prohibits advertising or communications indicating a preference or limitation based on income source, and bans attempts to discourage rentals or coerce others to violate these protections

Applies to both residential rental units under Code chapter 562A and mobile home spaces under Code chapter 562B

Removes existing state law provisions (Section 331.304 subsection 13 and Section 364.3 subsection 16) that prohibited counties and cities from enacting local ordinances requiring landlords to accept housing choice vouchers
