Establishes a sexual assault forensic examination center grant program in the Iowa Department of Justice, requiring the Attorney General to contract with an eligible nonprofit organization to operate and maintain examination centers statewide

Eligible nonprofit organizations must be incorporated in Iowa, employ or retain sexual assault nurse examiners, and operate treatment facilities primarily dedicated to providing services to sexual assault survivors

Contracting organizations must provide medical forensic services to survivors including adults, children, persons with disabilities, rural Iowans, and other underserved populations

Organizations must provide or facilitate trainings for medical practitioners, law enforcement officers, prosecuting attorneys, and the public regarding sexual assault services and prevention

Contracting organizations may seek additional funding sources and are not considered state agencies for purposes of collective bargaining (Chapter 20) or state tort claims (Chapter 669)
