Prohibits foreign governments, including their agents, trustees, or fiduciaries, from acquiring any real property or interest in real property in Iowa by grant, purchase, devise, or descent on or after the bill's effective date

Requires foreign governments that currently own real property or agricultural land to divest all right, title, and interest within two years of the bill's effective date

Extends existing restrictions on agricultural land ownership to explicitly include foreign governments alongside nonresident aliens and foreign businesses

Requires real property or agricultural land acquired by foreign governments through devise or descent after the effective date to be divested within two years of acquisition

Mandates county recorders to report violations to the attorney general, who must initiate district court action; property acquired in violation is subject to escheatment to the state
