Amends Iowa Code sections 719.7 and 719.7A to require that any punishment imposed on an inmate for contraband possession must be served consecutively to their current sentence.

Creates new section 719.7B establishing the offense of "restricted or disruptive contraband," defined as items not inherently illegal but prohibited by correctional facilities due to security or safety threats.

Restricted contraband includes tobacco products, electronic smoking devices, money/currency, cell phones, electronic communication devices, synthetic cannabinoids, pornographic materials, and other facility-designated items.

Possession of restricted or disruptive contraband is classified as a class "D" felony; failure to report a known violation is an aggravated misdemeanor.

Authorizes sheriffs, law enforcement agencies, and the Department of Corrections to order X-rays of individuals suspected of possessing contraband, to be performed by licensed physicians or supervised X-ray technicians.
