Applicants must certify they held only a military license (no civilian license) during the two years prior to application and maintained a clear driving record with no suspensions, revocations, or moving violations causing accidents

Requires applicants to provide evidence of military employment in a position requiring motor vehicle operation for at least two years before honorable separation, documented by DD214 discharge papers

Military applicants receiving the waiver must still complete vision screening, highway sign recognition tests, and Iowa traffic law knowledge tests

Exempts qualifying military applicants from standard driver education requirements under Iowa Code section 321.178
