Mandates school districts, accredited nonpublic schools, charter schools, and innovation zone schools to provide age-appropriate instruction covering safe touch, unsafe touch, safe secrets, unsafe secrets, and how to report abuse

Expands existing educational materials requirements to include child sexual abuse and assault awareness content, covering recognition of unwanted advances, dangers of internet exploitation, and available counseling, medical, and legal resources for survivors

Authorizes the Board of Educational Examiners to establish continuing education requirements for license renewal that may include in-service training programs on child sexual abuse and assault awareness and prevention

Specifies that compliance costs shall be paid by school districts from state school foundation aid under section 257.16, with no additional state funding required
