Students in grades 9-12 enrolled in public school districts or accredited nonpublic schools may participate in non-school-sponsored athletic contests or competitions, including events with collegiate students, only as "unattached competitors"

"Unattached competitor" is defined as a student who does not represent a school and does not wear a school uniform or other apparel identifying them with a school

Schools are prohibited from providing coaching, transportation, or financial support to students participating in non-school-sponsored athletic contests or competitions as unattached competitors

Creates new section 280.13H in Iowa Code governing participation in non-school-sponsored athletic events
