Amends Iowa Code Section 718.6 to allow persons who continue making false criminal allegations after those allegations are proven false to be charged with malicious prosecution under Section 720.6

Upgrades the penalty for malicious prosecution from a serious misdemeanor to an aggravated misdemeanor, punishable by up to 2 years confinement and fines between $855 and $8,540

Maintains existing class "D" felony penalties for knowingly filing false reports about forcible felonies, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, terrorism, unlawful possession of biological agents, or arson-related offenses

Retains class "C" felony enhancement when false reports of serious criminal acts result in serious bodily injury or death to another person
