Requires students in grades 9-12, beginning with the 2030-2031 graduating class, to complete one-half unit of instruction in food nutrition and preparation as a condition of graduation.

Students may alternatively satisfy the requirement by completing one semester (or trimester/quarter equivalent) of food nutrition and preparation instruction in grade 7 or 8.

Applies to school districts, accredited nonpublic schools, charter schools, and innovation zone schools.

Implementation costs are to be paid by school districts from existing state school foundation aid under section 257.16, with no additional state funding provided.
