Iowa Department of Natural Resources must create and publish an interactive manure management planning map on its website to assist persons applying manure from animal feeding operations.

Fields included in multiple manure management plans or nutrient management plans must display which months manure from each animal feeding operation is scheduled to be applied.

The map must help users apply manure efficiently while reducing runoff risks by guiding application rates and timing adjustments.

Persons filing manure management plans (confinement operations) and nutrient management plans (open feedlot operations) must verify they consulted the planning map prior to application.
