Requires Iowa HHS to verify immigration and U.S. citizenship status through the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) online service before determining eligibility for public assistance programs.

Applies to both initial applicants and current recipients undergoing ongoing eligibility reviews for SNAP, Medicaid, the Family Investment Program (FIP), and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Amends Iowa Code Section 239.6 to add the SAVE database as a mandatory verification source for immigration and citizenship information.

Verification will be conducted using information maintained by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services within the Department of Homeland Security.
