Establishes a $250 annual classroom supply stipend for eligible public school teachers beginning with the 2026-2027 school year and each year thereafter

Eligible teachers must provide instruction primarily in-person and be employed by a school district prior to the start of the school year

School districts must pay the stipend automatically by September 15 of each school year through payroll or separate payment, without requiring teachers to request it

Stipend funds may only be used for classroom supplies and materials that directly support student learning, including books, paper, basic supplies, technology, and curriculum materials—not for personal use items

The stipend is exempt from Iowa state income tax, and funding is appropriated annually from the state general fund to the Department of Education
