Requires courts to order temporary joint physical care of children to both parents during divorce proceedings, unless a rebuttable presumption exists against awarding physical care to one parent

Maintains existing requirement for a minimum visitation schedule with the noncustodial parent unless the court determines visitation is not in the child's best interest

If the court finds by a preponderance of the evidence that joint physical care is inappropriate, it must cite specific reasons using the factors listed in Iowa Code section 598.41, subsection 3

Amends Iowa Code section 598.10, subsection 1, paragraph b, governing temporary custody orders during dissolution proceedings
