Appropriates $300,000 from the state general fund to the Office of Long-Term Care Ombudsman for fiscal year 2025-2026 (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026)

Funding designated to increase the number of local long-term care ombudsmen, including for salaries, support, administration, and maintenance

Appropriation is supplemental to any other general fund appropriations and full-time equivalent positions already authorized for local ombudsmen during the same fiscal year

Funds must support local ombudsmen in conducting site visits and protecting the health, safety, welfare, and rights of long-term care facility residents and tenants

Office directed to prioritize site visits to nursing facilities that have changed ownership within the preceding 12 months, with particular emphasis on facilities that have transitioned to private equity ownership
