Authorizes school districts and accredited nonpublic schools to establish multidisciplinary school safety assessment teams to coordinate resources and intervene when students exhibit behavior that may pose a threat to school safety

Teams may include local law enforcement officials, juvenile court services representatives, mental health professionals, social services representatives, and school officials

Allows covered entities (criminal/juvenile justice agencies, cities, counties, state agencies) and schools to share otherwise confidential records and information when necessary to ensure student safety or access to services for K-12 students experiencing emotional disturbance, mental illness, or posing significant threats

Provides criminal and civil immunity to persons who in good faith report, investigate, or cause investigation of students or persons posing credible danger of serious bodily injury or death on school property

Requires the state court administrator to disclose records to assessment teams when reasonably necessary for safety, unless sealed by court order, notwithstanding confidentiality provisions in existing law
