Expands the definition of plumbing systems to include medical gas and medical vacuum systems, requiring installation, layout, cutting, joint preparation, fitting, purging, brazing, and other assembly processes.

Requires individuals with a valid certificate of competency or registration to successfully complete an approved training course including NFPA 99C and section IX of the ASME welding and brazing code before installing medical gas and medical vacuum systems.

Mandates that medical gas and medical vacuum installer certification be maintained in accordance with American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) series 6000 requirements.

Requires all holders of valid medical gas and medical vacuum certification to have proof of such certification on their persons or in the immediate vicinity of the work site when performing medical gas and medical vacuum installations.

Requires plumbing inspectors to possess a valid Idaho journeyman certificate of competency prior to appointment and to be certified through IAPMO for plumbing inspections, with inspectors performing medical gas inspections certified through a recognized certification program.
