House Bill No. 711 Summary

• Appropriates $22,987,600 from the Permanent Building Fund to the Division of Public Works for construction, renovation, repair, and land acquisition at state institutions and agencies.

• Maintenance projects total $19,925,600, including alterations and repairs ($18,505,600), asbestos abatement ($500,000), statewide ADA compliance ($800,000), and Capitol Mall maintenance ($120,000).

• Capital projects total $3,062,000, including Idaho Department of Correction ICIO Maintenance Building ($600,000), Department of Juvenile Corrections High Voltage Power Distribution System ($1,350,000), Department of Health and Welfare State Hospital South Building Demolition ($612,000), and Department of Administration Capitol Annex Renovation ($500,000).

• Exempts appropriations from Chapter 36, Title 67, and Section 67-3516, Idaho Code, but requires expenditures to comply with Chapter 35, Title 67, Idaho Code and Section 67-5711, Idaho Code.

• Authorizes the State Treasurer to issue tax anticipation notes against Permanent Building Fund revenues in accordance with Sections 63-3201 through 63-3204, Idaho Code.
