• Creates the Alzheimer's Disease Strategic Plan Task Force within the office of the governor to develop a comprehensive state strategy for addressing Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.

• Task force composed of 18+ members including legislators, state health department representatives, and appointees from organizations such as the Alzheimer's Association, AARP Idaho, nursing facilities, social workers, and community members including persons with Alzheimer's disease and caregivers.

• Task force must submit a strategic plan report to the governor and legislature by October 1, 2012, addressing population trends, existing services and resources, best practice strategies, and necessary state policy responses.

• Office of the governor shall provide office space and clerical support for the task force; funding comes from partnership between state and stakeholder organizations.

• Task force authority expires July 1, 2013, with the provision that it review the strategic plan biennially following submission of the initial report.
