Outfitter and guide licenses are valid for the licensing year(s) issued and expire on March 31 of the following year.

Licenses cannot be sold, assigned, or transferred except as provided in Idaho Code chapter 36.

Board must specify on licenses the activities licensed, exact territorial limits of operation, and species of game to be hunted.

Board shall consider applicant's operating history, qualifications, safety record, area accessibility, terrain, weather conditions, and environmental impact when approving licenses.

Board must refuse licenses to applicants under 18 years old, lacking good moral character, without working knowledge of Idaho game and fishing laws, or without sufficient financial responsibility to conduct an outfitting business.
